Episode 104: Your Universe Is My Universe's Therapist

READERS: Isfahan, STOG, Portaxx, Boots Raingear, and Lemon.

Content for this episode was provided by chairmanroflmao.

Any wise man must know that there is much to the universe that he does not know. But the wiser man makes up a bunch of crap about other universes and then sells that crap to suckers for two hundred bucks a pop. On a completely related note, Burt Goldman wants to welcome you to Quantum Jumping. What is Quantum Jumping? That's privileged information, I'm gonna need your bank account information first. But while we're waiting for this transaction to process, how about I read some testimonials? This week, Isfahan will not hesitate to shoot his doppelganger.

I love the metaness of the one guy who used his ability to Quantum Jump to rip off Albert Fink from Bioshock Infinite.

Speaking of those - this is the best way I can raise the issue, but anyone knows what music is played on Metaphorical Chastity starting at about 26:44? It's a mostly violin number, and I really like it, but those episodes have no credits as for music used. Would be thankful if anyone can point me to where it's from.

My phone tells me it's Apocalypta: The Unforgiven. www.youtube.com/.../

It is!
Thanks so much!

I love every single episode you guys do, I've listened to some episodes so many times I can practically recite them from memory. This is literally my favorite podcast and I just felt I should comment and let you guys know that, since I've been lurking for almost half a year now. You're all amazing!

Regarding this episode's coda, you guys don't give yourselves enough credit. Even your earliest period had absolute classics like Weight, Weight, Don't Tell Me, (Point to Schlong), and A Feeling of Kinship.

Don't forget Metaphorical Chastity and You've got a friend. Sexual banana splits rank among the most hillarious things I have heard on F+ (I hold the ice cream and I scream. My husband provides the banana, I provide the split.)

It's also the period that gave birth to the influential "BBQ Man Pop", a culinary invention that has been on the menus of the finest restaurants ever since.

Okay, more like in the employee bathrooms of the least sanitary restaurants, but you get my drift. Influence and whatnot.

That was episode 4, "You've Got a Friend", which also gave us The Well-Known Food Place. (And it beats the hell out of "A Feeling of Kinship".)

I was really hoping for the German voice for talking about Doppelgängers, but this episode was still worth it.

I really hope you folks are going to do an episode on Silva Mind Control at some point, because it is fucking hilarious. As is Sedona Release, another woo-woo grifter scam technique with lots of people who have used it to manifest their mobile homes full of dreamcatchers and dustbunnies.

Why don't you bring your doppelganger instead? I bet he's more fun to be around. And more successful.

He's actually the one who told me to post that in the first place. It really is a crapshoot whether you'll find the right doppelganger for advice or not.

On the other hand, he is an excellent painter, so this program hasn't been a total loss.

I know this kind of got lost in all the other quantum bull shit but the many worlds theory is a real quantum theory. Its not especially studied because it has no testable predictions but, like much of quantum shit it has been coopted by crazy folks to sell crystals.

You know, I think someone could make something out of the premise that all other universes are emotional support for ours. Maybe something in the vein of the Truman Show, but with universes.

At first I was skeptical about Quantum Leaping, but after trying Burt Goldman's techniques for a week I've lost inches from my waist and can now fit into all those clothes in my closet that had gotten too small. Not only that, but my kitchen floor is spotless, my car is freshly waxed and I'm currently blending food effortlessly while listening to the best hits of The Beach Boys as performed by Nepalese monks (on 4 discs).

I will ABSOLUTELY recommend this to my friends - AND HAVE DONE SO MANY TIMES.

I am both horrified and intriqued by the inclusion of the Pointer Sisters as music for this episode.

Please, don't be crazy, Pointer Sisters.

Or at least, don't be crazier than any other music artist.
