Episode 99: Mr. Gandolfini? We Have A Few Rewrites.

READERS: Boots Raingear, Isfahan, Acierocolotl, Bunnybread, Adam Bozarth, and Lemon.

The F Plus has spent a number of years exploring odd areas of the internet in order to present you with material you might find thought provoking, interesting, horrifying, or otherwise upsetting to your worldview. Sometimes. We sometimes do that. Other times we find crappy fanfiction and read it derisively. This week, The F Plus has forgotten what The F Plus did with all the prounouns The F Plus had.

Fallout: Equestria might work if someone with enough knowledge (Which Ridiculist is the one who likes Fallout again? Portaxx?) really gets into the Fallout side of it

Several of us like Fallout, and while I admit to knowing more about Fallout than I do about MLP, I can still recognize shitty weapon design when I see it, and I took one such Fallout Equestria weapon to task over on the ballp.it forums.

Admittedly, the design was made by a fan of the fan-fiction, not the author themselves, so it's a bit recursive, but still, even though I'm not a pony I could tell the ergonomics were retarded.

I'm sorry, but if you can't enjoy Hans von Hozel read with enthusiasm, then that makes you Hans von No-Soul.

You just have to read brony things that are actually funny, and not just "hey look, awkward people obsess over kids' show".

Having said all that, I'm not sure I know anything that falls under that category. (even though the MLPxFallout thing is probably bad enough)

Fallout: Equestria might work if someone with enough knowledge (Which Ridiculist is the one who likes Fallout again? Portaxx?) really gets into the Fallout side of it while everyone else mocks Bronies and marvels at the creepy awfulness of the fanfiction itself, but I'm skeptical that it would be the right choice for the hundredth episode. Regardless, I'm sure that whatever they have planned is going to be great.

Repercussions of Evil was ancient, but was still funny.

See, I didn't even like that episode. Or the "Hans von Hozel" stuff. Or this one, for that matter. Bad writing is fun to mock, but what's the point when it's bad on purpose? (And don't tell me that the stuff in this episode was serious.) If it hits the right notes, it can be funny on its own (like Repercussions of Evil, My Immortal, Full-Life Consequences, or anything from the Bulwer-Lytton/L yttle Lytton contests), but to mock it is to miss the point entirely.

i wish i remembered that one brony fanfiction i found where the dude had like 2 golden desert eagles and a flame pattern shirt and he went to pony land and only there did he find true happiness until like the army?? sent people to take over pony land or something

idk if it was a joke or not but it was certainly different enough to warrant riffing on, rather than the cut-and-dry "i wanna fuck a horse" stuff you'd find with most bronies

mostly because this dude was projecting like a motherfucker

I don't totally agree with the idea that since something is really well known, it can't worth reading anymore.

Repercussions of Evil was ancient, but was still funny.

You just have to read brony things that are actually funny, and not just "hey look, awkward people obsess over kids' show".

Having said all that, I'm not sure I know anything that falls under that category. (even though the MLPxFallout thing is probably bad enough)

Bronies are old hat.

Too true. I remember actually looking forward to a hundredth episode on Bronies several months back and disappointedly realizing before long that it would have been completely redundant.

On the other hand, this only makes the episode more exciting to anticipate.

Yeah, the word fandom implies a lot more than just being a fan. That's a community that either can't get enough of their favourite work of fiction (or non-fiction) or find the official material lacking something that caters to their specific dumb interests so they create their own weird bullshit and endlessly discuss the "deeper meaning" of trivial crap.

Yuck

Interesting idea, but honestly none of us are actually in a fandom. Still, if you have some crazy fancrap of AT to submit, go for it.

I'm so happy right now you guys don't even know. It's like my heart is an erupting volcano of joy... only it's a waterfall I guess, because volcanoes are sad?

Really though, I am happy that you guys have immortalized these beautiful stories. To my knowledge a couple of them - including the Spock one, which is hands-down my favorite - aren't available anywhere on the 'net now. I'm pretty sure I saved the page from a Geocities site.

A dear canine pet and friend and confidante and associate of ForTheLove passed away rather unctuously earlier this month. They died like a dried up waterfall. Which is why ForTheLove was found to be unsusceptible of interaction here .ForTheLove will unctuously make fan art soon hopefully!
This episode is one of ForTheLove's favourite best good episodes because of a the bad a grammar! You have made a rather quite uncheerful week a lot more better good and now because of your adjuvant podcast ForTheLove's spirits are rising up once more, like a slowly awakening volcano!

Yeah, I made a mistake earlier in the XML. I fixed the problem, but some podcast players will prefer local data over internet data in the case of a conflict.

If you really care, delete the Sherlock episode and refresh the feed. It should get the new release date.

"I train my dog to only like white people".

There's a Sam Fuller movie called White Dog about a racist dog. Synopsis: " A trainer attempts to retrain a vicious dog that's been raised to kill Black people."
