SHORT: The Otakindude Journal

READERS: Boots Raingear, John, Kumquatxop, Victor Laszlo, Portaxx, and Lemon. GUEST READER: Tiff Dynamite.

Edited by Portaxx

This is the last in our series of shorts for a little while, while we get the F Plus Live audio prepped for public consumption. This is a six minute short originally recorded during episode 42 (The Childfree Hardcore Episode). In the episode, we had read a little piece from a guy named Otakindude, who was angry because he was too fat to be Henry. After reading his tirade, we found his livejournal, which is what we're reading here. What's Otakindude's religion? And how did he discover his vampire powers? You're about to find out!

JAZAABOO A. PORTAXX: It's the Play! (yes that's the name of the concert, excalamation point and all) version of Theme of Laura
Lemon "Lemon" Lemon-Lemon: Uh.... okay, thanks.

Don't sweat it Portaxx, I deserve a slap on the head from Lemon too.

I have followed the Video Game Orchestra for quite some time and have been to a few concerts of theirs.

Quoting agentanalogue:
I have searched hard for Play! "Theme of Laura" and still come up empty handed. May I ask where you came by the recording, Portaxx?

The full name of the concert is "Play! A Video Game Symphony". Additionally, they do a lot of medleys, so they tend to name the tracks after the games they're from, as opposed to the songs' actual titles, so they actually named the track just "Silent Hill 2". It's from their 2006 CD I think, which you can get on iTunes or uhh... you know, that one place on the internet... with free music. Anyway, this is what the full song sounds like: www.youtube.com/.../

Hopefully you can track it down! They do some neat orchestrations. Video Game Orchestra also has several unique arrangements of the song too! For example: www.youtube.com/.../

I'm sure Lemon wants to smack me in the back of the head right now, but hey, what else is new?

Oh good lord, for a simple six-minute recording this was easily one of the most embarrassing things that you've done

It's like some amazing and terrible game of Otherkin bingo

The inner Optimist in me would hope that whenever he just goes into a bar, instead of getting a drink, he just orders some vampiric energy.

The Pessimist tells me this guy's girlfriend isn't real.

It's always good to see Victor get some airplay, even in a small role.
